Array Along a Path
Overview_Challenge
A lightweight Figma community plugin that instantly distributes shape copies along any vector path. Supports real-time parameter synchronization, even count division, fixed-gap intervals, and automatic tangent rotation. Ideal for data visualization, custom UI patterns, and parametric layouts.
Computing precise coordinates and tangent angles along custom cubic Bézier curves and compound vectors, since Figma's native API does not offer path coordinate mapping methods.
Approach
Vibe coded with TypeScript and Claude in partnership with Nandini Kataria. Designed a performant geometry engine that implements Count and Gap layout modes, outputting non-destructive native frames.
Outcomes
Streamlines path layout generation by automating manual vector mathematics, reducing asset repetition cycles from hours to seconds for designers in the Figma community.
